Making scientific research on learning more accessible to students, teachers, and other educators.

About Us

We are cognitive psychological scientists interested in research on education. Our main research focus is on the science of learning. (Hence, "The Learning Scientists"!)

We aim to :

  • Motivate students to study

  • Increase the use of effective study and teaching strategies that are backed by research

  • Decrease negative views of testing

This is not a product or a sales pitch - just science!

We are funded by generous organizations and individual patrons. You can click here to see a list of our supporters. If you're interested in becoming a Patron, check out our Patreon page! We have some exclusive content for those who support us and make all of this free content possible.

Interested in how we got started? We wrote about our story in on our “First Birthday” post and another two-part series about teaching the science of learning. While we have changed in a number of ways since we got started, these posts are still fun and informative.
