Digest #157: Exam Preparation Tips

Our entire website is dedicated to improving study skills in students and supporting their learning. In today’s digest, we would like to present five resources for exam preparation. Exams are coming up in most educational settings and they come in a variety of formats: Multiple-choice questions, essay questions, closed-book format, open-books format, and so on. We have compiled different resources that can be helpful when tackling upcoming exams. Good luck and happy studying!

This resource takes you through different steps to support your studying for exams. It highlights that besides the right study tools, physical care is important, too.
2. Pre-exam preparation by Bright Knowledge
This neat resource provides tips for each phase of exam preparation and exam taking. Help-seeking during preparation is emphasized, but also comes with suggestions for on the day of the exam, during the exam, and after the exam.

Ah, who doesn’t love a list of 10 tips that include concrete study strategies? Look no further, this resource has got you covered.
4. Multiple-Choice Test Taking Tips and Strategies by Education Corner
Multiple-choice tests are very common in educational settings, and it is helpful to know how to best tackle them. This resource comes with best practice tips that you can start using right away on your next exam.
5. How to Study for (and Take!) Open Book Exams by Elizabeth Lundin (@lundinelizabeth) for College Info Geek, @collegeinfogeek
The move to open-book exams has become more and more common. While these exams do not rely as much on memorization, but rather on demonstrating conceptual understanding, it is still important to study for them. Being able to know how different concepts relate to each other, will help you in those type of exams.
